Camozzi has recently introduced into its extensive product range the Series CP fieldbus interface which conforms to the international Profibus standard EN50170, ensuring compatability with existing network devices. The CP interface allows solenoid valve banks to be connected to the Profibus DP communication network. It can also be connected to any independent device, subject to power requirements.
Up to 32 interfaces can be connected to one network and, with repeaters, this can be increased to 126, giving a total of 4032 inputs/outputs controlled off one PLC.
Three variants are available including an interface controlling one valve bank of up to 16 solenoids and a model controlling two valve banks with up to 16 solenoids each.
A third type of interface can control one valve bank of up to 16 solenoids with a terminal strip for 16 inputs from field sensors.
Each interface comes with a GSD file on a floppy disk to enable easy addition into the Profibus network.
