According to the company this new addition uses the latest microchip technology to make the system one of the fastest FFT analysers on the market. Other innovations such as an automatic light sensitive keyboard and high resolution backlit screen for easy viewing in any light conditions, long battery life, 102,400 lines of resolution and massive on board memory capability, upgradable to 1 gigabyte, ensures that the Vibxpert will be a major addition to the condition monitoring market in the UK.

The system measures and records all forms of machine vibrations, bearing condition, as well as process and inspection data.

The compact external design of the systems is also reflected in its internal intuitive, graphical user interface, straightforward on screen user guidance and a constantly available help function, allowing skilled and novice users to obtain consistant analytical results.

To underpin the 'easy to use' philosophy that is core to the develoment of the system the system is fully compatible with patented Vibcode measurement finger print system.

Vibcode makes data collection completely error free.

The system, developed and patented by Pruftechnik, uses an encoded stud which is either glued or screwed to a machine measurement location.

The special encoded ring in the stud corresponds to machine data which is down loaded from the data collector PC software for each data collection route.

When the measurement transducer is locked on to the stud all machine measurement data is recognised, including.

* Machine asset number.

* Measurement location.

* Measurement type and parameters.

* Time and date of measurement.

* Previous measurement readings.

* Preset alarm parameters.

Data collection is rendered fool proof, it is impossible to collect incorrect data.

Additionally when measurement alarm parameters are exceeded the data collector is triggered to collect vibration spectra automatically for later analysis by the plant expert.

By encoding the measurement stud the location is effectively finger printed with a unique location code, the stud, being purely a mechanical component, can be fixed to virtually any machine in any environment.

For the diagnosis of complex vibration conditions Vibxpert provides comprehensive analysis functions such as order spectrum, cepstrum, orbit, phase, cross phase analysis and coast down measurement.

A range of cursor types, machine specific frequency markers and a comprehensive on board bearing database compliments this new package.

In addition to 1 and 2 channel FFT analysis and data collection the system is available also with 1 and 2 plane dynamic balancing capabilities.

Additionally the systems have easy go/no-go LEDs, which indicate vibration compliance with ISO 10816-3 vibration standards, to make Vibxpert equally accessible for experts and novices alike.

All collected data is stored on a compact flash card for download to the Omnitrend maintenance software package supplied with the system.

Omnitrend administers machine data, programmes measurement tasks and routes, and archives the results in a database (MS Access, Oracle, MS SQL).

Comprehensive functions are available for evaluation and documentation: alarm check, trend preview, multi-view, band analysis, waterfall display frequency markers and a variety of cursors.

The unit can be supplied either as a 1 or 2 channel package.

Additionally 2 analogue measurement channels will accept almost every type of proprietary sensor.
