ProLinx 6000 series is the first product to take benefit of ProSoft Technology's innovative PWP wireless protocol, and foresees a new generation of revolutionary wireless solutions dedicated to industrial automation. For implementing and using wireless networks such as 'Ethernet TCP/IP' or 'Serial', most of the engineers' attention has to be concentrated on the radio transmission part (antenna type and position, distances, emitted power, reflections, multi-paths, etc.); for device level protocols such as Profibus, for which 'timing' is important and even sometimes an essential feature, things are different.

Not only the RF (Radio Frequency) part needs specific attention, but particular specifications of the protocol have to be taken into account as well.

This is solved by the ProLinx 6000 platform.

This High Speed WIRELESS Profibus DP solution can connect to 12Mbits/s networks and supports the commonly used baud rate of 1.5Mbits/s.

In fact it is offering at least 5.5Mbits/s over-the-air data throughput (up to 11Mbits/s raw throughput).
